Who it suits
A raised feeder suits medium and large dogs that strain to reach floor-level bowls, and older dogs with neck or joint stiffness. Two stainless steel bowls cover food and water in one stand, and steel is generally easier to clean and more resistant to odors than plastic, which helps keep daily feeding simple.
Limitations
Elevated feeders are not right for every dog: some vets advise against them for deep-chested breeds prone to bloat, so check with your vet if you are unsure. The 10-inch height fits medium and large dogs but is too tall for small breeds. Steel bowls can be noisy on hard floors, and the stand needs regular wiping to prevent water rings.
